Brittaney Boyd is a native of Greenwood, MS. She is the youngest of two daughters. She is a 2012 graduate of Pillow Academy. In 2016, Ms. Boyd received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology at Tougaloo College. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and an alumna of Teach for America Mississippi. Ms. Boyd taught three years in Greenwood, MS before being accepted into the Principal Corps at The University of MS. Recently, Ms. Boyd received her Master of Education in Educational Leadership from The University of Mississippi. Currently, she works for the Greenwood Leflore Consolidated School District as a Multi-Tiered Systems of Support Coordinator. Ms. Boyd believes children in the Mississippi Delta are as intellectual and capable of reaching success as children across the nation. Her motto is a twist of words from the late John F. Kennedy which is, “Ask not what your educational entity can do for you, but what you can do for your educational entity that will benefit students.”
