Jack Fredericks

Executive Director

Jack Fredericks moved to the Mississippi Delta from New Orleans in 2019 to join the Mississippi Teacher Corps (MTC) through the University of Mississippi. He currently teaches junior and senior English at West Tallahatchie High School. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, he received a B.A. from the University of Mississippi in 2012. He then moved to Reno, Nevada to pursue a M.A. in Literature and the Environment. After graduating from UNR, he continued to teach a variety of classes at the college level until he moved to New Orleans in 2018 to pursue interests in the restaurant industry. After a year outside of the field of education, he decided to return to the classroom. He is part of the 2021 graduating class through MTC. He is the acting executive director of MDEEP.
